WIZO recibe “Premio Nacional Benito Juárez al mérito ciudadano 201
La Organización Internacional de Mujeres Sionistas, WIZO A.C., recibió el “Premio Nacional Benito Juárez al mérito ciudadano 2016”.
Este reconcomiendo fue otorgado aWIZO México por su trayectoria de setenta y cinco años de labor filantrópica en el país, en beneficio de la sociedad mexicana.
WIZOMéxico es una organización apolítica de mujeres judeo-mexicanas, con status consultivo en la ONU, en los departamentos de ECOSOC y UNICEF, que trabajan para el bienestar del prójimo.
Ha desarrollado acciones para beneficiar a más de 12,000 alumnos, 50 escuelas amuebladas y equipas y ha otorgado becas escolares.
A través de su trabajo voluntario, han logrado el compromiso y la responsabilidad de las socias activas, inactivas y de todas aquellas personas que han brindado su apoyo para fortalecer la educación en México, a sus instituciones y al México en caso de desastres naturales.
En tema de ayuda a la mujer han desarrollado un proyecto “Mujer Emprendedora” en el que han generado igualdad de género para mejorar el estatus de la mujeres, además de trabajan por la autosuficiencia de la mujer, promueven la labor social de los jóvenes de escuelas judeo-mexicanas y contribuyen al bienestar de personas con capacidades diferentes. Así mismo, refuerzan los valores judíos y fortalecen sus lazos con el Estado de Israel.
WIZO Méxicotrabaja en varios rubros: Educación, Mujer, Bienestar, Servicio Social y Presencia WIZO; con resultados sobresalientes. Ha tenido presencia en la Colecta de Cruz Roja Mexicana, Teletón y desastres naturales. Además de hacer un festejo del día del niño e impartir platicas a padres de familia sobre temas de autoestima y educación de los hijos.
El objetivo principal del “Premio Nacional Benito Juárez al mérito ciudadano 2015” es reconocer las actividades ciudadanas de quienes han desarrollado a lo largo de su vida una labor sobresaliente en beneficio de la sociedad y de México. Además de WIZO, se premió a la atleta paralímpica Dora Elia García Estrada y al ex alcalde de Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Cesar Garza Villareal.
Mientras tanto la Presidenta Mundial de WIZO Rivka Lazovsky, mando, desde Israel, una felicitación especial a la organización en México

This is a well-deserved recognition - a tribute for your outstanding work, supporting the Mexican society. Thanks to your great efforts, children and youth at risk from Mexican public schools gain scholarships and furniture to create a comfortable classroom environment. WIZO Mexico also contributes to the annual campaigns of the Mexican Red Cross Campaign, the National Telethon and provide aid for those who are hit by natural disasters.
WIZO Mexico has been contributing in the last 75 years to the welfare and development of disadvantaged people in the Mexican society. Your dedication and efforts support thousands of children and young people, and help them fulfil their full potential.
