Rosh Hashana is upon us and in Israel all kinds of companies use this as an opportunity to reach out to their customers and wish them a Happy New Year. Coca Cola Israel, operating basically as a state sponsored monopoly, is one such company. A can of Coca-Cola can cost six-times more in Israel and bottles 66% more according to this study in Globes. Besides tooth decay, even the diet versions of Coke encourage obesity and diabetes according to a recent study conducted by the Weizmann Institute. Whacky right? But whatever.
